The Easy Way To Make Your Car Shoot Flames!

This is something we see asked consistently without any real responses from people who've actually installed a Bee*R Rev Limited on a Ka24de. So we will finally put everything to rest in this simple, quick, and easy installation guide.

This was performed on an s13 ka24de 1991 with a Piggy Back Style Tuned ECU. This should work on any OBD1 style ka24de from 1990-1994.

What You Will Need:
  • A REAL Bee*R Rev Limiter
  • Soldering Iron
  • Electrical Tape
  • Wire Strippers

So now that you've acquired the tools needed to complete this task we can finally start shooting flames, building boost, and killing tires!

**DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY NOW**

First, You will need to grab your Bee*R rev limiter and cut the GRAY WIRE looped on the side. This will need to stay cut as this is the 4 cylinder trigger wire for the Bee*R.

Since we have the Bee*R ready to go, we will need to locate the Plug on your ECU and pull up the wiring harness going into your dash. (Passenger Kick Panel). You can find a diagram HERE that will help you locate the correct wires to Splice Into on your ECU. DO NOT CUT ANY WIRES! Everything is
Wiring Trick
Spliced together and will NEVER involve completely cutting through the wire. I added a photo to the right (Wiring Trick) that will show you what you should be doing exactly. Once you have the corresponding wires connected, you can go ahead and drop some soldier on the connections. Give everything a good tug before wrapping the links in electrical tape.  Clean up your ECU harness and reinstall the ECU, Kickpanel, and anything else you ripped out.

Now That We have the wiring to the Ecu handled, we will need to work on powering and properly grounding the Bee*R. You need a 12v switched power source to power your new Rev Limiter. I highly recommend checking out our other post that teaches you The correct way to wire a switch in a 12v car. Now that we have a stable source of power, you will need to locate a reliable ground source. Go ahead and clean off a good metal mounting point and bolt the ground down. Make sure this ground is stable and will not move, tug, pull, or cut. You may need some extra slack to ensure that you have a safely wired drift car.

Lastly, You need to find a trigger source for your 2-step or Launch Control. The 2 most common methods used to trigger this is the E-Brake and the Clutch Switch. I recommend the E-Brake as it is extremely simple to wire and easy to activate! You will need to pull up your center console and locate the single wire leaving the back of your E-brake. Go ahead and Follow the (Wiring Trick) diagram to wire this up.

YOU ARE DONE!

Go ahead and reconnect your battery, Start your car up, Set you desired RPM Limit and Gain following the guide below. Enjoy the bangs, pops, and fireballs this amazing modification will provide!

( Rev Limit 1 is normal driving,  Rev Limit 2 Is The 2-Step Switch, Gain is the Duration of Cut-Off )
